“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” - Anais Nin

So I asked myself…”What do I love?”

I love the sound of laughter, the lick of dog’s tongue,
the wonder in a child’s eyes, the wisdom of the young.
Meandering a forest trail, as nature’s songs abound
Earth mother reassuring me what’s being sought is found.
The look I see in a friend’s eyes when we share an inside joke,
And anyone who knows inside, “I am amongst the woke!”
What really sets my soul on fire and makes me feel a part,
is knowing that something I’ve done has touched another’s heart.   – MaryAnn Champagne
